Accounting101 is a tool for small businesses to perform basic accounting functions without specialiazed accounting knowledge. Basically it allows you to invoice, write checks, receive payment and run some reports. That's it. It was borne out of frustration trying to use packages that are expensive, overly complex and just generally hard to use.

The system is designed to be security focused using a number of advanced techniques. In addition we do not use passwords. You approve Sign-Ins to your account using an app on your phone (either iOS or Android) using biometrics (face or fingerprints).

We are a small company that grew increasingly frustrated using the standard commercial packages. So we said to ourselves, "Selves...What do we do well?" and the answer is: write easy-to-use software that gets the job done.

So we looked at what our bookkeeper complained about the most, what management needed to be able to track, and what the accountant needed to do our taxes.

Accounting101 is primarily geared towards service businesses. It has no inventory features as yet. It does not do job tracking. It basically lets a small business invoice customers, record sales, write checks and provide reports like sales and profit and loss.
